BACTERIA & SEWAGE ASSESSMENTS
Document the Impact. Define the Next Step.
TESTS Environmental provides independent assessments for sewage releases, contaminated water events and environmental hygiene concerns throughout California and Nevada.
We evaluate accessible conditions, document affected areas and use project-appropriate sampling to help property owners, managers and project teams make informed response and verification decisions.
ASSESSMENT SERVICES
Environmental Support for Sewage and Sanitation Concerns
Each scope is tailored to the event, affected materials, property use, response activities and information needed by the client.
Sewage-Impact Assessments
Visual evaluation and documentation of accessible materials and areas reportedly affected by sewage or contaminated water.
Environmental Hygiene Assessments
Project-specific evaluation of sanitation concerns, suspected contamination and conditions affecting occupied or sensitive environments.
Surface Sampling
Collection of selected surface samples for appropriate bacterial indicators when analytical data can help answer a defined project question.
Water-Impact Documentation
Room-by-room observations, photographs and moisture information used to document accessible areas and materials affected by a water event.
Remediation Guidance
Independent recommendations describing observed affected materials, response priorities and considerations for an appropriate work scope.
Project Monitoring
Independent observations and documentation during sewage-related cleaning, removal or restoration activities under an agreed scope.
Post-Remediation Verification
Visual assessment and project-appropriate verification sampling after cleaning or remediation to document conditions at the time of evaluation.
Report & Data Review
Review of existing reports, analytical results, photographs and project records to identify information gaps and support decision-making.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
What an Assessment Can Help Establish
- Which accessible areas and materials show evidence of impact
- How observed conditions relate to the reported water or sewage event
- Whether additional removal, cleaning or investigation may be appropriate
- Whether targeted sampling can help answer a defined question
- What documentation may support remediation or reoccupancy decisions
Environmental sampling is not automatically required for every sewage event. Visual conditions, material porosity, event history and the completed response are often equally important to the assessment.
OUR PROCESS
A Direct, Documented Approach
Understand the Event
We discuss the source, timing, affected areas, property use, response actions and project objective.
Assess the Site
We evaluate accessible conditions and collect agreed moisture information or environmental samples.
Evaluate the Information
Field observations and analytical results are considered together in the context of the event.
Provide Direction
You receive clear documentation and practical recommendations for the next step.
INDEPENDENT CONSULTING
Objective Information Without a Cleanup Sales Agenda
TESTS Environmental provides assessment, sampling and verification services but does not perform sewage cleanup or remediation. Separating the consultant from the restoration contractor helps keep our recommendations focused on observed conditions, analytical data and the needs of the property.
Properties and Projects We Support
- Commercial and industrial buildings
- Multifamily and residential properties
- Healthcare and institutional facilities
- Schools and educational facilities
- Property-management portfolios
- Restoration and construction projects
LIMIT EXPOSURE
Avoid Contact With Sewage-Affected Materials
Sewage and contaminated water may contain biological and chemical hazards. Restrict access to affected areas, avoid unprotected contact and engage appropriate emergency, plumbing or restoration resources when immediate source control and cleanup are needed.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Bacteria & Sewage FAQs
Every event and building is different. Contact us to identify an appropriate assessment or verification scope.
Is sampling always necessary after a sewage release?
No. Sampling should answer a defined project question. Event history, visible conditions, affected materials, completed removal and cleaning documentation may also guide the assessment.
What types of samples may be collected?
Depending on the project objective, TESTS may collect selected surface or environmental samples for analysis by a qualified laboratory. The sampling plan is established before fieldwork.
What is post-remediation verification?
It is an independent evaluation performed after cleaning or remediation to document accessible visible conditions and, when appropriate, collect verification samples under an agreed protocol.
Can testing prove that an area is completely free of bacteria?
No single sampling event can prove that an environment is entirely free of microorganisms. Results apply to the sampled locations, methods and conditions present at the time of collection.
Does TESTS perform sewage cleanup?
No. TESTS Environmental is an independent consulting company and does not perform sewage extraction, cleaning, demolition or remediation.
