ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTATIONS
Start With a Conversation
Environmental concerns do not always begin with a clearly defined scope. TESTS Environmental offers professional consultations to help clients understand the concern, identify the information needed and determine an appropriate next step.
Consultations may be conducted by telephone, email or Microsoft Teams when appropriate for the project.
CONSULTATION OPTIONS
Choose the Right Starting Point
Initial Project Discussion
For clients who need help determining what type of inspection, sampling or environmental consulting service may be appropriate.
Helpful for:- New property concerns
- Renovation or demolition planning
- Water-damage and moisture conditions
- Questions about available services
Document and Report Review
For projects where laboratory results, reports, photographs, scopes or contractor documents are available for preliminary review.
Helpful for:- Understanding an existing report
- Discussing sampling results
- Identifying missing information
- Planning further investigation
Project-Team Consultation
For contractors, property managers, facilities and project teams that need a coordinated technical discussion.
Helpful for:- Scope and sequencing discussions
- Remediation or abatement planning
- Monitoring and clearance coordination
- Multi-party communication
Document review and remote consultation do not replace an on-site inspection when physical observations, measurements or representative sampling are necessary.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A Simple, Professional Process
Submit Your Request
Provide the project city, property type, environmental concern and preferred way to communicate.
We Review the Information
TESTS considers the available details and determines whether a preliminary consultation would be useful.
Communication Is Coordinated
The conversation may occur by telephone, email or Microsoft Teams, depending on the project and participants.
Next Steps Are Defined
When additional services are appropriate, TESTS can prepare a written proposal for the recommended work.
DISCUSSION TOPICS
What a Consultation Can Address
Use the initial conversation to clarify the concern, identify project needs and determine whether inspection, sampling, monitoring or further technical review may be appropriate.
- Asbestos inspection and survey needs
- Lead testing and project monitoring
- Mold, moisture and water damage
- Bacteria and sewage impacts
- Indoor air quality questions
- Renovation and demolition planning
- Air monitoring and clearance support
- Existing reports and laboratory results
- Environmental scope and documentation
- Project schedules and coordination
IMPORTANT DISTINCTION
Some Questions Require an On-Site Evaluation
A telephone or online consultation can clarify concerns and help define a potential scope, but it cannot establish conditions that require physical observation, measurement or sampling.
TESTS may recommend an on-site inspection when the concern involves building materials, visible damage, moisture conditions, potential contamination, regulatory requirements or decisions affecting remediation, renovation or occupancy.

Information That Helps Us Prepare
You do not need to have everything organized before contacting us. Send what you have, and TESTS will help identify what additional information may be useful.
- Project city and property type
- A short description of the concern
- Planned renovation, demolition or remediation
- Relevant dates or scheduling requirements
- Photographs of affected areas
- Previous reports or laboratory results
- Names and roles of project participants
- Questions you would like addressed
REMOTE COMMUNICATION
Microsoft Teams Consultations When Warranted
For projects that benefit from screen sharing, document review or participation by multiple stakeholders, TESTS may coordinate an online consultation through Microsoft Teams.
A meeting invitation will be provided after the project information and consultation needs have been reviewed. No public meeting link is posted on this page.

Let’s Determine the Appropriate Next Step
Tell us about your concern, property or project. TESTS will review the available information and contact you to discuss how we may be able to assist.
Submitting a request does not create a confirmed appointment. Consultation availability and any applicable fees will be communicated before services are scheduled.
